We affectionately call our camera, Dusty, in honor of the nature of film photography and the ’60s Pop Singer Dusty Springfield.
The person behind Dusty, is Sarah (she/they) and she is most happy when she is making images in Nature.
At 17 years of age, when Sarah intentionally picked up an SLR (Minolta 700 RIP) film camera analog, their taste for most things analog and vintage had an appeal.
She ended up studying graphic design in college on the East Coast and became aware of the Hasselblad camera as something elusive and “Manly”, but never imagined she would one day have the gumption to begin a relationship with this machine.
In 2020, Sarah got that chance! She experienced Burnout from workplace abuse around then, and during the pandemic, she had the resources to purchase a previously-owned Hasselblad 500 C/M.
Fast-forward four years-ish, Sarah is ready to share the magical and imperfect world of photography.
